Pre-assembled cooling towers

We offer induced draft and forced draft cooling towers that can be manufactured in different materials, interchangeable and compatible with each other, to compose a product that fully meets the needs and specifications of the customer, thus reducing the corrosion.

Pre-assembled cooling towers are designed with dimensions suitable for road or container transport. The pre-assembled open circuit towers can have a structure in either (galvanized, stainless or painted carbon) steel or pultruded FRP, with Film, Splash or Hybrid fillings. These towers are the perfect solution for a short and medium-term investment for small and medium-sized applications, with thermal power from 200 to 5,000 kW. A winning solution based on quality and easy installation.

Industrial Cooling Solutions

We have also solution designed for heavy industrial applications in case of a need to cool polluted or aggressive water, in case of severe environmental conditions or just when you look for high quality materials, when resistance to corrosion is essential.

As new cooling towers are usually installed in demanding industrial environments or urbanized areas, we feel it is important to reflect this growing need of low noise operation of cooling towers. We offer also various silencing options as air inlet and air outlet attenuators along with a selection of suitable components such as ultra-silent fans or silencing mats water.

Design features: Structure

Each module consists of a single cooling body and one or more fan sections, fully pre-assembled. The module can be completed with the air inlet section and the cold water collection basin. The structure consists of a strong welded frame. The cladding can be in corrugated FRP or in steel welded panels.

Fan section

The ventilation is induced draft type: the fan is installed in the upper part of the cooling tower. The electric motors are equipped with all the special features to avoid water entrance and condensation.

Motors are bolted on a steel support, welded inside the fan stack. The fan is coupled directly to the motor shaft. The fan is equipped with high performance blades. The fan stack is protected by a metal safety grid.

Cooling water distribution system

Cooling water is uniformly distributed on the external surface of the heat exchanger by a distribution system manufactured in PVC. PP nozzles are no-clogging type. In case of maintenance, they are easily replaceable.

According to the latest (anti-legionella) sanitary regulations for cleaning purpose, the connecting pipe between the circulation pump and the internal distribution system is easily removable.

Filling system

The filling system is made up of several packs to form a section characterized by a high surface/volume ratio in order to improve the heat exchange capacity of the machine.

Depending on the working conditions, the packs can be supplied in different configurations with different geometries.

Drift eliminators

The drift eliminators are made up of modular elements, in PVC or PP sheets. The efficiency of the separator is excellent, such as to limit water losses due to dragging to a value below 0.005% of the circulating flow.

Louvers and water basin

Made in polypropylene with a honeycomb structure, louvers are designed for induced draft counter flow cooling towers.

They mainly perform two functions:

to channel the incoming air flow,
to eliminate the water splash-out from the tower.

Depending on the application, the basin and louvers can be made of different materials. The basin collects the process water. Thanks to its outlet flanges, the basin can be connected directly to the utilities. Its bottom is smooth and inclined in order to allow the complete water drainage during emptying and to prevent the formation of biological agents, such as legionella.

Depending on the customer’s needs, louvers and basins can be excluded from the supply.
